They are each approx. 14" wide x 5" high.. F5- 2

It is between: William & Mary, Charles Hedges of Kent, a Doctor of Laws and President of the Admiralty Court on the one part and TRUE LOVE: Master: William Spenser promoted by: Wm. Spenser, Jane Tickner and servants against Richard Mascall, Elizabeth Smith, William Roberts, Clarke & Petman. This document measures 12" x 10" appx with an 8" vellum pendant. It has a maritime connection with Ramsgate and the various parties lived at Dover & Canterbury. To accompany the document is an A4 sheet headed 'Kent Records' No 51 on which the information is noted. Cheadle Hulm Astle, This indenture is on a single sheet of vellum, handwritten in Latin in very formal writing. It is a nice example of a Final Concord, made in the King's Court at Chester on Monday 30th September in the 4th year of the reign of King George I which is either 1717 or 1718 concerning a house and 15 acres of land at Cheadle Hulme. Between JOHN FLEMING of Brampton, JOHN CHRISTMAS of Barnstaple, both of the County of Devon, England. The Indenture, is dated September 30, 1718 and measures 18" x 29".. B5- 0

1720 Indenture - Release

Dated April 19, 1720. Size 27" x 30½". This beautiful document seals the agreement between William Jelfs a yeoman farmer of Ruardon, Gloucester, and Richard Jelfs, his son, for the transfer of the father's farm lands "for his [son's] advancement and preferment" here called Ashwell Meadow, "forever quitting" all claim to the land. Handsome document of this ancient family practice. Large bold calligraphy, most attractive. With the red wax seal and signature of the elder, three embossed blue tax stamps, a large engraved flourishing Armorial heading with the King George I's name in the opening. Condition is clean bright fine (this was $65).. B5- 0

Dated March 20, 1729. Size 23½" X 29". Mary Davies of Knightson, Radnor, "widow", the Goughs, Elizabeth Bull, and William and Mary James transfer a piece of property inherited from Mary's late husband to Thomas Jones "yeoman". The purchase price is £328/4/-, a huge fortune at the time. The handsomely appointed farm is described as are all the terms and conditions of the sale. Nice large format early piece, decorated with no less than six red wax seals and signatures of the principals, three blue tax stamps, and a most unusual decorative printed heading depicting the Royal Arms, a motif not often seen on Indentures, along King George II's name prominent in the first line. Condition is clean bright fine. (this was $60).. B5- 0

It dealt with matters relating to the property of the Lord of the Manor such as the inhertance of leases etc. This example on parchment dates from Octiber 1783 at the Manor of Northwold in [I believe] Norfolk or Suffolk. Fees amounting to 7 shillings at the left. Document is folded for the picture - it is 12" x 11" unfolded.. F2- 4
